After creating a perfectly servicable big band arrangement of No Time To Die, I did what any good arranger of a big band would do and asked myself, How would Maynard Ferguson play this? The answer is, of course, louder, faster, and higher, or otherwise stated, obnoxiously. Such was born this unique version of this piece, with screaming trumpet parts, but a trombone soloing the first verse and then taking an extended improvisional solo throughout the middle (because as the lead trombone player of the band, I opted to give it to myself). I, personally, like this version better than the one that mimics the original, and give a little Bond pep to the midst to your setlist. Enjoy No Time To Die, as performed (obnoxiously) by the T-Town Jazz Band.

Lush Life was composed  sometime between 1933 and 1936. It was first performed by Duke Ellington in 1943. The ultimate sad and sullen broken-hearted jazz ballad. Let the male vocalist in your band and his name to the great singer who have performed this song including Johnny Hartman, Chet Baker, Billy Eckstine and many others.

This chart is a big band arrangement of the classic 1971 soul ballad Ain't No Sunshine written and performed by Bill Withers. It is a tenor sax feature, where the big band accompaniment is quite manageable, playable by most high school (even JH) jazz bands. Even though it's a tenor sax feature, solo changes are also written for alto sax 1, trumpet 2 and trombone. This is the perfect chart to show off your hot-shot tenor player.

Knock on Wood is a 1966 hit song written by Eddie Floyd and Steve Cropper and originally performed by Floyd. The song has become covered by later artists, most notably Amii Stewart in 1979. Stewart's disco version was the most successful on weekly music charts.
Eddie Floyd's recording peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent one week at number 1 on the Soul Singles chart. The song was written in the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee (now The National Civil Rights Museum). Steve Cropper has stated in interviews that there was a lightning storm the night that he and Eddie wrote the song, hence the lyrics 'It's like thunder, lightning, The way you love me is frightening'. Floyd's version earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on July 17, 1995 weekly music charts.

It was Bublé's first single released in the United Kingdom. The single was a hit, topping the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in the United States while peaking at number 31 in the United Kingdom. Includes score and vocal part with lyrics. I have also published an original key version more appropriate for male vocalist.

Sail Along Silvery Moon is a song written by Harry Tobias and Percy Wenrich in 1937 and originally performed by Bing Crosby, although covered later on by many artists including Andy Williams, Gene Autry and Slim Whitman. It reached #4 on the U.S. pop chart in 1937. in December 1957, saxophonist Billy Vaughn released an instrumental version of the song which went to #5 on the U.S. pop chart and #1 in Germany and in Canada. The following year, the song went #1 in Norway and made #4 in Australia. This arrangement for jazz ensemble follows the alto and tenor sax duet version by Vaughn, but makes these parts available for flute and clarinet if a doubling option is desired. There are short solos throughout, but nothing too complicated, it's a warm, nostalgic chart that would fit nicely into any programme.
