Happy Xmas (War Is Over) is a Christmas song released in 1971 as a single by John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir. 
It was the seventh single release by John Lennon outside his work with the Beatles. 

Note by arranger Johan Verhey: The moment I write these words (2023) once again shows the need for reflection. The hope of all people after the end of the cold war that things would get better from now on has turned out to be pure irony.
