Ukulele - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1347176 Composed by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown. Arranged by Bettina Schipp. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Standards. Score. 3 pages. Songbooks.info #931970. Published by songbooks.info (A0.1347176). Singin' in the Rain is a hit film written in 1929 by Arthur Freed (lyrics) and Nacio Herb Brown (music). Gene Kellys dances and sings in the 1952 sound film of the same name.Already after the Second World War, the song became a jazz standard and was performed by artists such as Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, John Serry Sr., Sammy Davis Jr. and Doris Day, just to name a few artists. In 2004, the American Film Institute ranked the song third in its list of the 100 best American film songs. The song was arranged for the Ukulele and notated in classical musical notation and tablature. The sound of a Vibraphone was used in the setting, so the sound does not mix with the sound of your own instrument. The melody is backed by a metronome and quietly by an organ.

Ukulele - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148100 By Michael P Walker. By Melchioro de Barberis and Giacomo Gorzanis. Arranged by Michael P Walker. Classical,Renaissance. Score. 33 pages. Michael P Walker #748290. Published by Michael P Walker (A0.1148100). Melchior de Barberis (1500-1549) was an Italian lutenist and composer. His book Opera Intitolata Contina was published in Venice in 1549. Most of the book is dedicated to the lute, but the final few pages of the book contain 4 pieces (fantasias) for the renaissance guitar. Barberis refers to the instrument as the chitara da sette corde (guitar with seven strings). Giacomo Gorzanis, (1525 – 1578), was a lute virtuoso, blind, and possibly a member of the nobility. He was born in Apulia, near Naples, and probably trained at the Spanish court in Bari. Gorzanis traveled to Austria where he became a citizen and where he published four collections of lute tablature and two collections of Neapolitan lute songs. About Michael P Walker I studied guitar at Birmingham-Southern College under David Walpert who was a student of Andre Segovia and I have been playing guitar, ukulele, Baroque guitar, and the lute for more than fifty years. Just as Adrian Le Roy published these pieces to expand the repertoire of the Renaissance guitar, I have transcribed these compositions with the hope of exposing this rich, beautiful music from the Renaissance to a wider audience of guitar and ukulele players. Along with this book, there are more than 80 books of arrangements of Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic era music for the baritone ukulele and there are more than Thirty-Five others with arrangements for the Low G ukulele. You can find them here: https://morgancomusic.com.
