Need a quick & easy welcome song for your class? This lilting, 6/8 time, upbeat Irish-style assures a happy start to your day! They will love the kazoos and actions! The phrase Top o' the morning is Irish in origin, but it is rarely used in Ireland today. It means the best of the morning to you - perhaps from the idea of unhomogenised milk, where the cream rises to the top.
