SKU: A0.730918

Composed by Latin American Folk Song. Arranged by Sarah Martinez. Children,Folk,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Octavo. 3 pages. Sarah Martinez #339175. Published by Sarah Martinez (A0.730918).

This arrangement of Alfonso XII has been adapted for unison chorus and set to a piano accompaniment. This song tells a story about Alfonso XII, King of Spain from December 1874 until his death in November 1885. It is a song tale known in many Latin American countries. As is typical of folk songs, there are many popular variations and additional verses. English translation: Where are you going, Alfonso XII? Where are you going so sadly? I am looking for Mercedes because I lost her yesterday. Mercedes is already dead, and it's true because I saw her. Four dukes carried her through the streets of Madrid. The lanterns of the castle no longer want to light, Because Mercedes has died, and they are in mourning. Poor little Mercedes, she died like a flower. Similar arrangements for SATB, SAB, TB, and 2-part choirs are also available. You may also find this song under the alternate title ¿Dónde vas, Alfonso Doce?.

Composed by John Beale. Children,Holiday. Octavo. 54 pages. John Beale #4807687. Published by John Beale (A0.984889).

This is a song cycle I composed for my school’s 25th birthday in 1987.  The lyrics are taken from the Birmingham Evening Mail in January 1987. Since I am a sceptic of horoscopes I judged that one date is as good as the next. There are 12 songs - one for each month. They were performed with piano accompaniment and there are additional parts for: clapping, tambourine and glockenspiel (which could be replaced by any melody instrument) You could of course change the ‘Monday’ to suit your purpose

Composed by Ken Litton. Arranged by Ken Litton. Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious. 4 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #1078723. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1503195).

A song I wrote at the request of the South Brazil Mission of the International Mission Board SBC, for their Annual South Brazil Mission Meeting in 1997 while we were serving the churches of the Federal District Baptist Convention in the capital city of Brasília (1000 miles into the interior of the country).
The key reference here is Matthew 24:4-14...
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.KJV
