I Believe in Father Christmas was written by English composer Greg Lake (1947-2016). Released in 1975, the song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and is still on the seasonal playlist.

It is often categorized as a Christmas song, this was not Lake's intention. He said that he wrote the song in protest at the commercialization of Christmas. Lyricist Peter Sinfield, however, said that the words are about a loss of innocence and childhood belief. This straightforward arrangement is for easy keyboard with chord symbols. It can be performed by a soloist or unison choral forces.
