When used this way, this song provides an easy way to stretch your rehearsal time at the Christmas season, as the choir can easily participate, yet there is no learning of extra parts. Brimming with worship of the Christ Child from the very first lyric, Heaven's Here to Stay begins by quietly evoking the atmosphere of the stable. When the chorus arrives, the jubilant singing of the angels arrives as well: Glory in the highest, for the Peace of heaven comes to earth! Glory in the highest--Hope itself was born in Jesus's birth. For Death is dying, Fear is cowering, Light is chasing Night away. The burning love of heaven's here to stay.
