If you do not have a handbell choir to accompany this anthem, a keyboard instrument could be utilized. The single word 'Alleluia' constitutes the entire text (jokingly credited to Handel because of the Hallelujah Chorus from 'Messiah'), thus making it easy for a children's choir to memorize. This would also make a stunning processional for bells and choirs for a festive occasion such as Christmas or Easter.

Taken from the account in Matthew 21:7-11, this cheerful Palm Sunday anthem tells the story of a smiling, caring Jesus as he makes his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This work, from the Easter cantata, Denn du wirst meine Seele was written by J.L. Bach, a distant cousin of J.S. Bach. The first provides the Easter message and sentiment of the original German text while the second celebrates creation and the dawning of a new day.
