This is an African-American traditional Christmas song with the lyrics Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. The first publication of the song was in 1901. It was later popularised by recordings including those of Peter, Paul and Mary and Simon and Garfunkel. This easy violin arrangement gives both violinists the opportunity to play the melody. The lower part has some pizzicato, while the upper part has a slightly more decorated melody. The full repeat is optional.
