Frankie the Frank Frankenstein is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for two Violins. Frankie the Frank Frankenstein is one in a series of ten Halloween-themed duets each presenting a portrait of a different Halloween character. All ten can be bought together in one collection by searching for 10 Spooky Halloween Duets for Violin.Frankie is a straightforward kinda monster. He tells it as he sees it; he likes to speak his mind. Unfortunately, he is constructed from so many and various spare parts that he isn’t always entirely sure which eyes he saw it through, which mind to believe, or indeed from which mouth to say it. Frankie the Frank Frankenstein is suitable for players at an advanced intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by the changing styles and tempo and some syncopated rhythms. With a playing-time of around three and a half minutes, Frankie the Frank Frankenstein is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Violin Duet Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587347 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by David McKeown. Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Sacred,Wedding. 5 pages. David McKeown #3210637. Published by David McKeown (A0.587347). Ave Maria was written by Franz Schubert in 1825 as the sixth song in his song cycle based on Walter Scott’s poem The Lady of the Lake. It is perhaps the best known of all his melodies, adapted for piano by Franz Liszt, and for orchestra many times since. It is often sung with the Latin lyrics of the Catholic hymn of the same name and has been heard everywhere from the Disney movie Fantasia to the funeral of J.F. Kennedy. This version is arranged as a duet for two Violins. Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. Both parts play the melody. The overall performance time is around four and a half minutes. The sample recording is from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version of this duet. The full length youtube performance is of the Clarinet version.  Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with pizzicato and expressive playing. The rhythms are straightforward though there are extended triplet quaver arpeggios which will pose a challenge for finger coordination.
