This piece is a movement of one of a group of six sonatas written for treble instrument and cembalo. This lively movement is equally interesting for all parts, and easily accessible for advanced intermediate students, amateurs and professionals. A few chromatic passages, and some syncopation make this fun for all.

Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713) was an Italian violinist and composer. This charming Adagio movement is from a group of twelve trio sonatas he wrote in 1689, his Sonata No. 4 in B Minor, Op. 3 Mvt. 3. The original instrumentation was for strings and keyboard.An easy, accessible baroque duo for two violins. Ideal for advanced beginners or intermediate students, adult amateurs and performers.

Count Your Blessings for two violins. Each of the three verses becomes a bit more complex. The second verse has the lead in the second violin so that both parts have the melody. In the key of D,  the note ranges remain on G, D and A strings with a few open Es.  Players need to be able to utilize a high third finger for C# on the G string and a low one for D# on the D string.

The classic hymn Whispering Hope is arranged for two violins.  This is written in D Major and the range of notes stays mainly within the staff except for a few notes above the staff and a couple of notes under the staff.  There is an easily fingered chromatic Dotted quarter-eight note is the most difficult rhythm.  There are also a few two note slurs.

This much loved piano piece by Chopin is also remembered in a version as the classic song I'm Always Chasing Rainbows recorded by Judy Garland in 1917. This duet arrangement for two violins adheres to Chopin's melodic line. The 2nd violin provides a gentle rocking eighth-note accompaniment to the melody, and the final extended cadence has just a hint of 'Blues'. The performance duration is two and a half minutes and the full score has two individual parts attached.
