Let It Be was one of the Beatles last recordings, released in 1970 when Paul McCartney had already announced his departure from the band. This version of Let it Be is arranged as a duet for two Violins, and includes a short transcription of George Harrison’s guitar solo. The full YouTube performance above is from the Clarinet version of this arrangement.

Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances, with both parts enjoying plenty of melodic interest. The overall performance time is around three minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. 6 pages. David McKeown #5311701. Published by David McKeown (A0.588263).

She’s Leaving Home first appeared on the Beatles’ 1967 album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The song was jointly written and performed by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. George Harrison and Ringo Starr took no part in the recording and there were no instrumental contributions by any of the Beatles. The song was inspired by a newspaper story about a missing teenage girl. The girl in question turned up safe and sound eventually, and had, by complete coincidence, met the Beatles at a TV recording a few year’s earlier.

This version of She’s Leaving Home is arranged as a duet for two Violins. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet version of this arrangement.

Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance, with plenty of interest in both parts. The overall performance time is around three and a half minutes.

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. 5 pages. David McKeown #5306517. Published by David McKeown (A0.588196).

Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) by the Beatles, was released on the 1965 album, Rubber Soul. Primarily written by John Lennon, the song refers obliquely to an affair that never quite off the ground. Norwegian Wood was the first pop song to feature George Harrison’s sitar, and in so doing, simultaneously brought Ravi Shankar to the attention of Western audiences and deeply influenced the emerging psychedelic rock movement.

This version of Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) is arranged as a duet for two Violins. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet version of the duet.

Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.
