These sonatas are characterized by their expressive and virtuosic chamber music, combining Italian and French traits, and were strongly influenced by the violin sonatas of Corelli. They are considered significant contributions to the Baroque chamber music repertoire, showcasing Loeillet's compositional skill and stylistic influences.
