Published by D. Berry (A0.1315399). This is an easy to intermediate violin duet for the Christmas season. The public domain carol was originally composed by John Henry Hopkins Jr in 1857, and it tells the story of the biblical magi or three kings who visited Jesus when he was born. Although the arrangement is quite simple, there is a chance to explore some techniques including pizzicato spread chords and playing with a rich tone for the sul G opening. There is also some simple double stopping. The parts are fairly evenly matched, so violinists can take turns playing each role.
