===== Belovèd art, in dark times when I wander When all life's wild confusion gathers round You light my heart with love and warmth so tender And rouse me with your wondrous heav'nly sound And rouse me with your heav'nly sound And from your harp a chord of sweetness leads me A holy sigh from greatest heaven above and with the hope of better times feeds me Belovèd art, 'tis you, 'tis you I love Belovèd art, 'tis you I love (singing translation by David Warin Solomons (c) 2015).

Where are we?].

Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.577526 Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Classical,Romantic Period. 2 pages. David Warin Solomons #1985521. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.577526). Instrumental arrangement of Sapphic Ode - number 4 of Five Songs, Op.94 - by Johannes Brahms. The sound sample is an electronic preview. The original words of the song (followed by my singing translation) are: Rosen brach ich nachts mir am dunklen Hage. Roses plucked at night from the darkening hedgerow Sweeter scented than ever in the day-glow But its branches showered me with its dewfall moist and youthful and the scent of kisses lent me sweeter sips when I took them deep in the night from your soft lips And they made you just like the roses so tearful moved like the dewfall Translation (c) David Warin Solomons.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797816 Composed by Howard Goodall. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Film/TV. Score and parts. 13 pages. Derek Hasted #6333153. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797816). VICAR OF DIBLEY (Psalm 23) - FLUTE and GUITARFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This delightful setting of the 23rd Psalm (The Lord Is My Shepherd) by Howard Goodall is well-known in the UK and elsewhere as the Theme Tune to the gentle TV comedy The Vicar Of Dibley. My arrangement for flute and guitar is very accessible and straightforward, but still contains all the thematic material of the original. In a nod to the medieval sound that a choir conjures up when singing this modern setting, the guitar part is played with a Capo on the 3rd fret, to mimic the pitch range of the lute and to make the sound lighter and more ethereal. The flute part is played at pitch, so the full score is set in two keys - the capo does all the magic!Dynamics are suggested that mirror the original (with choir, organ and full orchestra) but the guitar fingering and the flute breath points are yours to choose - just make sure you make the performance yours...I hope you enjoy performing this!
