Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1299516 By Queen. By Freddie Mercury. Arranged by Derek Hasted. 20th Century,Film/TV,Pop. 10 pages. Derek Hasted #889389. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1299516). LOVE OF MY LIFE (Queen) - FLUTE and GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric GuitarDerek Hasted writes This delightful melody fits flute and classical guitar like a glove. My arrangement is based on Queen’s Official Video and includes all the key changes and phrases except for one little piece of quasi-improvisation I have removed (which would otherwise leave one player looking at the floor in a duet performance!)There is an amount of fingering and slurring in the guitar part which may help to get the smoothest performance, and the flute part will also benefit from slurring where possible. There are plenty of places where the music needs to breathe, so please don’t rush.I hope you enjoy playing this lovely and moving piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Digital Download SKU: A0.576897 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Folk,Multicultural,World. 11 pages. David Warin Solomons #504811. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576897). Instrumental version of a song in Dorian mode originally written for alto voice and guitar (also with guitar chord names) written for a friend in her appartment in Ghemme, Northern Italy. The words of the original song are partly in Italian and partly in English, as follows: Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio. [Here and now, my love. In Ghemme I don't know what I want] Land of fuzzy fizzy foggy friendliness Alpine heights and glowing plains land of lovely people and fruitfulness village feasts and bobbly trains Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio Italy, you land of musicalityFill my soul and make it heardNot with love if only love's banalityFor then 'tis best not to have sung a wordQui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio My love can hear the bells ring from your steeple see the mountains in the sun hear the singing language of your people smile and dance and sing like none Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio. Amore mio dove sono Dove siamo? [My love where am I? Where are we?].

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797825 By Keith Whitley. By Don Schlitz and Paul Overstreet. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Pop. Score and parts. 12 pages. Derek Hasted #6411785. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797825). WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL - FLUTE and GUITARFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This lovely melody, first made famous by Alison Krauss, and more recently by Ronan Keating, makes a delightful concert piece for flute and guitar. My arrangement is based on Ronan Keating’s version, where the guitar part is a little different to the original. The music doesn’t have the slow fade-out of Keating’s piece - it’s not that easy for a flute and guitar duo on stage to emulate that! But it does have all the rest of the thematic material, including the strange but seldom noticed fact that verse two is one measure shorter than verse one. The key is the same as Keating’s version and includes the rather lovely key changes - both seem to go up slightly in pitch, yet the second key change actually returns back to the starting key.Much of the guitar part can be played in the lower positions where there’s just a little bit more sustain to help support the flute part. Where the guitar part needs sustain across the bar-lines, I have used “ties to nothing†rather than formal ties. Ties generate a lot more black on the page and make the music harder to read. I hope you enjoy performing this!
