Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797812 By Captain & Tennille. By Toni Tennille. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 11 pages. Derek Hasted #6305233. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797812). DO THAT TO ME ONE MORE TIME - FLUTE and GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This fantastic melody deserves more fame than it gets, though when it first came out it was Captain and Tennille’s second No 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. My arrangement captures the three verses that feature in this piece, and also the instrumental break (originally on the lyricon), which has most of the ornamentation, except for the big bends that the lyricon can do electronically. This arrangement is set in the same keys as the original, and modulates from C to G (for the instrumental) and then to D.The accompaniment fits nicely on guitar, and it’s ideal for an intermediate duo. The guitar seldom comes out of first position and uses familiar chord shapes. The flute part has a top G, but it can easily be replaced by another top E if the G is not rock solid. By the same token, some of the repeated notes can be replaced by a sustained note if you feel that makes for a more relaxed articulation. This is one of those pieces that a concert audience will be humming all the way home...I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.575957 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 9 pages. David Warin Solomons #431225. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575957). Three words too many (say it in words and you cheat, you cheat the indefinable). This was originally a song, which I wrote back in my tender years (also available on this site for alto and guitar), but it also works equally well as an instrumental piece. I have therefore also provided versions on this site for guitar with: flute alto saxophone French horn English horn (cor anglais) clarinet oboe violin. After a gentle introductory major chord arpeggio, the tension of the piece comes into play from the third bar where the melody line holds and repeats an augmented 4th suspension above the guitar. This note then returns as the arpeggio chords change underneath to reveal it as a minor third of a chord related by three degrees of separation from the original - C major to E flat minor. The harmonies and melody continue to sway in their relations in a curious and yet logical progression. I have provided score and parts and also a separate version of the guitar part which provides chord names and fretboard symbols; this would make it useful for educational purposes. The sound sample is an electronic preview.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797772 By Billy Joel. By Billy Joel. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary,Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 13 pages. Derek Hasted #5305729. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797772). UPTOWN GIRL - FLUTE and GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This very playable but satisfying arrangement is a piece that's full of hidden gems...For an audience it's absolutely full of uplifting key changes - not just one on the last chorus! This arrangement starts in A, but visits the keys of F, C, D and E more than once, and each one seems to lift the mood yet higher. And then there's a gentle fade away to a quiet finish. It's an easy rhythmic crowd-pleaser that any audience will like and it’s a real toe-tapper.The guitar has a simple syncopated rhythm that was inspired by the electric bass line of the original and reworked to provide a rhythm 'chords and bass' part that is straightforward and reliable to play. The soundfile alongside this download at Sheet Music Press is a mix of real guitar and synthesised flute. In a real performance the flute part will benefit from rubato and being relaxed with the beat.I hope you enjoy this piece!

Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1369648 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. 2 pages. David Warin Solomons #954012. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1369648). Many years before Lloyd Webber's Cats I created my own setting for TS Eliot's Song of the Jellicles (from Old Possum's book of practical cats). Originally it was intended for choir, and then I went on to make instrumental duos and quartets from the bouncy kittenish theme. Each version follows the rhythms of the T S Eliot poem.Jellicle Cats come out to-nightJellicle Cats come one come all:The Jellicle Moon is shining bright—Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball.Jellicle Cats are black and white,Jellicle Cats are rather small;Jellicle Cats are merry and bright,And pleasant to hear when they caterwaul.Jellicle Cats have cheerful faces,Jellicle Cats have bright black eyes; They like to practise their airs and gracesAnd wait for the Jellicle Moon to rise.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.935144 Composed by John S. Dwight, Adolphe C. Adam. Arranged by Simon Dawson. Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 16 pages. Dawson Music UK #6204747. Published by Dawson Music UK (A0.935144). This is a beautiful arrangement of the classic Christmas Carol O Holy Night, or Cantique De Noel, for flute and classical guitar. Arranged in two verses, the guitar plays the first verse as a solo guitar, then the flute enters for the second verse as soloist accompanied by guitar. The flute part is easy to intermediate and the guitar part intermediate. Both parts are available as separate parts as solo guitar and solo flute, as each verse works in it's own right. Click on the link for a full performance on YouTube, or contact me directly for further information at simon@dawsonmusic.co.uk.

Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576897). Instrumental version of a song in Dorian mode originally written for alto voice and guitar (also with guitar chord names) written for a friend in her appartment in Ghemme, Northern Italy. The words of the original song are partly in Italian and partly in English, as follows: Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio. [Here and now, my love. In Ghemme I don't know what I want] Land of fuzzy fizzy foggy friendliness Alpine heights and glowing plains land of lovely people and fruitfulness village feasts and bobbly trains Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio Italy, you land of musicalityFill my soul and make it heardNot with love if only love's banalityFor then 'tis best not to have sung a wordQui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio My love can hear the bells ring from your steeple see the mountains in the sun hear the singing language of your people smile and dance and sing like none Qui e adesso amore mio. A Ghemme non so che voglio. Amore mio dove sono Dove siamo? [My love where am I? Where are we?].
