Count Your Blessings was written by Irving Berlin for the 1954 film White Christmas. It is said that the lyrics were inspired by Berlin's visit to a psychiatrist. He had gone to see the doctor to get help with his insomnia, and the advice given by the doctor translated into Irving's stunning song lines! This String Trio arrangement opens with the melody in the 1st Violin part, which is than handed down to the Cello for the second statement. The 2nd Violin then plays the melody for the Reprise before both violins play it together in octaves (accompanied by arpeggios in the cello) for a grand finish.
