Now often performed as a stand-alone piece, Clair de lune is instantly recognized by almost everyone, and frequently requested for gigs. Now you'll be prepared for any event with this beautiful arrangement for your two-violin and cello string trio! Maintaining the lyrical melodic lines, dynamic and emotional intensity, clever chord changes, and interesting metric modulations of the original, this chart will be perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, cocktail parties, solo & ensemble contest, and more. Rated advanced for some accidentals, a number of tied rhythms and tuplets, and some high notes in the violin 1 part -- this is a tricky piece, but I promise I made it as sightreadable as humanly possible!

Schubler Chorales are six chorale preludes composed for organ by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV645-650). Schubler is the person who published these pieces. Five chorales are transcriptions from Bach’s cantatas (BWV645, 647-650). The original of this piece, BWV650, is Cantata No.137, movement 2, Come thou, Jesu, from heaven to earth. This is a transcription for Trio (Violin & two Violoncellos).

Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689-1755) was a French baroque composer. This piece is one of six sonatas Op.7 originally written for three flutes. It consists of five movements, 1. Gravement, 2. Allemande/Gayment, 3. Lentement, 4. Gavotte en Rondeau, and 5. Gayment. Simple and tightly-contained interaction between three parts. Enjoyable to play with not so high skill in technique.

Sinfonias No.1-15, BWV.787-801, are known as three part inventions for keyboard. Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) composed these short pieces for educational purposes. It was not only for practice of playing keyboards but also for acquiring a strong foretaste of composition. All of them are full of musical charm. They are very good educational materials for players other than keyboard players.
