The flower duet composed in 1883 is frequently used in advertisements and films and is popular as a concert piece. It was adapted for the track Aria in the British Airways  advertisements of the 1980s  More recently, it has been heard in films such as Meet the Parents and True Romance and television shows including The Simpsons. This version is in the original key includes a separate violin part and accompaniment and performance takes about 5 mins.

Zigeunerweisen or Gypsy Airs,  Op. 20, was written in 1878 by the Spanish composer Pablo de Sarasate. In 4 distinct sections, the themes in the piece are not of Romani origin, but were all actually adapted from Hungarian music pieces: e.g. the last section uses a theme from Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 13, in the rhythm of the csárdás. As one of Sarasate's most popular compositions and a favourite among violin virtuosos, the work has remained a staple concert item and on recordings  since Sarasate himself recorded it in 1904, The Piano part is adapted from the orchestral score.

La Vie en Rose was the signature song of popular French singer Édith Piaf. It was written in 1945 with lyrics by Édith Piaf, and a melody composed by Louiguy (Luis Guglielmi).  

The song became very popular in the US in 1950, with English lyrics (‘Take me to your heart again’) by David Mack, when seven recordings - made by Tony Martin, Paul Weston, Bing Crosby, Ralph Flanagan, Victor Young, Dean Martin, and Louis Armstrong - all reached the Billboard charts. The song has also been covered by many other artists over the years, including Bette Midler, Donna Summer and a 2018 version by Lady Gaga.This instrumental arrangement makes an excellent recital item or popular encore.
