Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587932 Composed by G F Handel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Opera,Standards. 4 pages. David McKeown #5044851. Published by David McKeown (A0.587932). Lascia ch’io Pianga is a beautiful aria from Handel’s Opera Rinaldo The opera premiered in London in 1711 and during his lifetime was the most successful of Handel’s operas. However, following his death there were no further productions until a school in London revived it in 1933. Handel used the melody of Lascia ch’io Pianga in two other works, but it is the version from Rinaldo that has achieved a deserved place in the concert hall, and a starring role in films like Farinelli. This version of Lascia ch’io Pianga is arranged as a Solo for Violin and Piano and both parts are reasonably simple; the performance time is around three and a half minutes. The pdf file contains both the piano score and a separate solo part. You can listen to a full performance of this arrangement on Clarinet via the YouTube link above.Musicians at an early intermediate level and above will find Lascia ch’io Pianga ideal for formal and informal performances, with both the solo and accompaniment enjoying melodic interest. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with developing tone, phrasing and expression. Violin and orchestra - difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q52901 Composed by Jenoe Hubay. This edition: piano reduction with solo part. Classics Relaunched. Downloadable, Piano reduction with solo part. Op. 99. Duration 26 minutes. Musikverlag Zimmermann - Digital #Q52901. Published by Musikverlag Zimmermann - Digital (S9.Q52901). Key: G minor. German • English.Jenö Hubay (1858-1937) was a great violinist and composer, who is almost forgotten. One of the reasons for this is that his name could no longer be mentioned during the communist dictatorship in his native country Hungary after 1956. He was considered as a bourgeois-aristocratic artist, as he had contacts with emperors, kings and many other leading figures. Hubay dedicated his 3rd Violin Concerto to his student Ferenc Vecsey, who was then only 14 years old. He permiered it very well and brought it to great success in London and Berlin. The concerto is played with almost no rest between the movements. An attractive and effective written work for the violin. Also the most inveterate foe of romanticism is not able to stand up to this lively composition.

Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587912 Composed by G F Handel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Opera,Standards. 5 pages. David McKeown #5042585. Published by David McKeown (A0.587912). Ombra Mai Fù is the beautiful opening aria from Handel’s Opera Serse, (Xerxes). The opera was not well received when it premiered in London in 1736 and sank into immediate obscurity, only to re-emerged as one of Handel’s best-loved works nearly two hundred years later. Ombra Mai Fù is often referred to as Handel’s Largo. In 1906 Ombra Mai Fù gained the distinction of being the first piece of music ever broadcast on radio. This full version of Ombra Mai Fù is arranged as a Solo for Violin and Piano and both parts are reasonably simple; the performance time is around three minutes. The pdf file contains both the piano score and a separate solo part. Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1140764 Composed by Federigo Fiorillo. Arranged by Robert W. Padgett. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Romantic Period. 6 pages. Padgett Music Llc #740999. Published by Padgett Music Llc (A0.1140764). Fiorillo's Violin Etude No. 22 is a beautiful work reminiscent of a slow movement from a concerto or sonata rather than a parochial exercise. For this reason, I composed an original piano accompaniment to make it more suitable for recitals. I welcomed the challenge of making musical sense of some of the work's more enigmatic sections (e.g., bars 16-21 and 48-53). The accompaniment incorporates elements from the violin solo to establish an organic connection between the two parts. The violin part is meticulously annotated for ease of study and is particularly useful for private instruction.
