Two Smiles is a composition I wrote for a Piano and Vibraphone duo,  there are many influences from different musical genres, from classical to jazz, also pop and minimalism. The piano and the vibraphone have the same importance and in some moments they perform the melodic line in unison.
the composition can be performed both for educational purposes and as a concert piece. the total duration is about 4 minutes.

Cantata 156 was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast (72, 73, 111 and 156), it was the last, and the only one scored for solo voice. Like Cantatas 73 and 111, it is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different melodies and choral texts in the second and sixth (final) movements, respectively; the second uses Machs mit mir, Gott, nach deiner Güt (Schein, 1628), which Herr, wie du willt, so schicks mit mir (Binemann, 1582) is reserved for the finale. This version of the piece was adapted for Vibraphone along with a piano accompaniment that comes with the product.

The Rain is a vibraphone solo with piano accompaniment that takes the idea of learning vibraphone with popular music to the next level. The piece is more difficult and has a harder piano part that is more involved and takes melody and harmony that gets brought to the vibraphone player and is taken between the two to create a fluid environment of sound. The title comes from my stay in Ghana, West Africa. There was a rain storm moving in, and it was quite heavy. This piece imitates this storm in the fact that you never really hear the first or last rain drop. You just hear the sound of the storm, not each individual drop.
