When Bidden To The Wake Or Fair adapted for violin and misc. instrument is a Mark O’Connor arrangement of an old song from Irish musician William Shield. The arrangement was composed for the album Liberty! and performed with guest cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The piece was used throughout the PBS series Liberty! The American Revolution. Liberty! album notes author Thomas Fleming says of the piece, ... a unique sound, sweeter and more provocative than a human voice. The music is suited for all levels.

Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.
