String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.836016 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Joshua Jun S. Kim. Classical,Concert,World. Score and parts. 9 pages. Joshua S. Kim #3218353. Published by Joshua S. Kim (A0.836016). Originally written for solo piano, Beethoven's Bagatelles are well-known for their beautiful melodies and the master's glorious music idioms. This arrangement has been made for string ensemble (violin I, II; viola; violoncello and contrabass) . According to Eugen d'Albert (1864 - 1932), these Bagatelles form excellent examples of the master's work of the last period. As for Bagatelle No. 11, he insists that it forms a glorious conclusion to his Opus 119, thus suggesting it is important to render this impromptu with seriousness and devotion. String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111957 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Peter Le Tissier. Chamber,Classical,Instructional. Score and Parts. 52 pages. Peter Le Tissier #714134. Published by Peter Le Tissier (A0.1111957). Before tackling the final Piano Sonata I thought I'd take a little break from the 'serious' orchestrations and present this interpretation of Beethoven's charming set of Bagatelles, op. 126. Postdating (as far as I'm aware) the 9th Symphony, and certainly all the major piano works, these Bagatelles stand apart from the earlier sets, elevated beyond their status in spite of Beethoven's own 'kleinigkeiten' demonym for them. In particular, the final movement is in this version an extraordinary expansion on the previous 5, quoting as it does the infinity of the finale of the Op. 111 Piano sonata.

Score and parts. 13 pages. Emma Butterworth #4845377. Published by Emma Butterworth (A0.909025). A beautiful STRING ORCHESTRA arrangement of the first movement of Dvorak's Bagatelles (originally for 2 violins, cello and harmonium). This popular piece is performed far less frequently than it should be due to its unusual instrumentation. This new arrangement for string orchestra allows it to be played and enjoyed on a wider scale. The sheet music also includes an optional violin 3 part if no violas are available. All of Emma's arrangements find creative and artistic ways to re-present original pieces in a way that suits the new instruments and ensemble whilst maintaining the integrity of the original piece.
