Chanson de Matin Op. 15 No. 2 is a beautiful piece of music composed by Edward Elgar, one of the most prominent English composers of the late Romantic era. 

The title, Chanson de Matin, translates to Morning Song, and the music itself evokes the feeling of a calm and peaceful morning. Elgar composed this piece in 1899, and it quickly became one of his most popular works.

Originally composed for violin and piano Elgar orchestrated it in 1901.  This arrangement for violin and string orchestra uses a combination of Elgar’s orchestration and the original piano part.

Chanson de nuit, Op. 15 No. 1, is a romantic composition for violin and piano by the English composer Edward Elgar. Salut d'amour  - love letter orgreeting of love was an Occitan lyric poem of the troubadours, written as a letter from one lover to another.

This arrangement of the ever-popular Chanson de Nuit is for string sextet - 2 violins, 2 violas, 2 'celli. The melodic interest is largely with the 1st viola which means it could also be used as a solo viola and strings showpiece with the 2nd ‘cello part being played by the basses. Both options are included here. An easily readable arrangement for players of intermediate standard and a great inclusion into any concert programme.
