Originally O Christmas Tree in German, the song was composed by Ernst Anschutz nearly two centuries ago, and has certainly withstood the test of time. While not originally a  Christmas song, it became associated with the Holiday as the custom of the Christmas tree grew in the 1800's. Written in the always pleasing 3/4 time, this arrangement for elementary school string orchestra will be a welcome addition to your Holiday concert program.
