Each performer is “self-isolating�. 2. 48 instrumentalists – 24 violins, 10 violas, 8 cellos, 6 double basses. The entire ensemble covers four chromatic octaves. 3. Vibrato consistent across all instrumentalists. 4. No liberty with rhythm. Follow exactly as written. 5. This may be considered an etude – a study of volume. All instrumentalists should be consistent in their interpretation of each dynamic. pppp should be extremely quiet but still audible. 6. The change in volume for crescendos and decrescendos should be gradual – reaching end dynamic in a legato, smooth manner. 7.
