String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.521888 By Taylor Swift. By Jack Antinoff and Taylor Swift. Arranged by Sherry Lewis. Pop. Score and Parts. 21 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6561715. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521888). LOVER - Taylor Swift String Orchestra, Intermediate Level for 2 violins, viola, cello and string bass chords such as C, Em, etc. Score: Yes Parts: 9 pages Time: 3'35' ABOUT THE DEMO: I took a shortcut on the demo only to get to the chorus MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts  however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit  https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through www.baysbest.com/smp-arrangeme/ and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups.  AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations.  ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Sherry Lewis is a professional arranger and musician residing in Northern California. String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1150279 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Andrew McInnes. Baroque,Classical. Score and parts. 38 pages. Janus Editions #750447. Published by Janus Editions (A0.1150279). This Sonata for Viola & String Orchestra offers approachable virtuosity for the soloist, as well as appropriately scaled difficulty for the orchestra. Georg Philipp Telemann loved the viola, but sadly we have only two of his concerti for the instrument. Overall, there is very little solo material from the Baroque epoch written for viola. This Sonata was originally for viol de gamba and keyboard, TWV 41:a6. It is much transcribed for viola and keyboard, but previous to this, not for viola and string orchestra.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.989195 By Daniel Carr. By Daniel Carr. Classical,Contemporary,Film/TV,Sacred,Video Game. Score and parts. 588 pages. Daniel Carr #594865. Published by Daniel Carr (A0.989195). Virus was composed during and about the 2020-2021 COVID epidemic. The main details of this piece are: 1. Each instrumentalist plays one and only one note throughout the entire piece. There are no expression markings – only dynamics. There are no special techniques. Each performer is ā€œself-isolatingā€. 2. 48 instrumentalists – 24 violins, 10 violas, 8 cellos, 6 double basses. The entire ensemble covers four chromatic octaves. 3. Vibrato consistent across all instrumentalists. 4. No liberty with rhythm. Follow exactly as written. 5. This may be considered an etude – a study of volume. All instrumentalists should be consistent in their interpretation of each dynamic. pppp should be extremely quiet but still audible. 6. The change in volume for crescendos and decrescendos should be gradual – reaching end dynamic in a legato, smooth manner. 7. The visual of the dynamics in the full score – often depicts the program – like hieroglyphics. Or, in some cases, like the image of an organism viewed through a microscope. 8. Optional – performers may wear masks during performance. And, if space permits, have 6 feet social distancing between performers.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1432024 By Juan Maria Solare. By Juan Maria Solare. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Historic,Instructional. 15 pages. Juan Maria Solare #1012503. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.1432024). Orchestraining is a cycle of orchestral studies, each focusing on different aspects of performance. These studies are specifically designed for non-professional orchestras, although any orchestra will improve by playing some of these pieces during rehearsals. It is always necessary to pay attention to intonation and many other aspects of orchestral performance. In addition, these studies are also useful for orchestral conducting students. For example, it is essential to know how to conduct a simultaneous attack of a chord that does not begin on the first beat, but a eighth note after the third beat.I began writing these studies around 2013, when I took over the direction of the Bremer Orchestergemeinschaft and noticed the complete absence of repertoire of this kind. As a pianist, I am accustomed to studies by Carl Czerny or playing scales. Each individual instrumentalist knows studies of technique for their instrument. However, there are no, or at least I am not aware of, similar studies for orchestral performance technique and the specific difficulties of ensemble playing that it requires. The cycle Orchestraining aims to fill this gap.The third Etude focuses on Spiccato and is therefore only for strings.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522221 Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christmas,Holiday,Renaissance,Standards. Score and parts. 20 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #3885295. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522221). Arranged for strings, keyboard, any C-pitched instruments, simple percussion and other instruments. The volta is an anglicised name for a dance that was popular during the Renaissance. Considered at first to be slightly risquĆ© and controversial it eventually became more respectable but never completely dignified. The first dance uses interesting cross-rhythms.In this series, Renaissance Hits for Strings, some of the most well-known dances from Terpsichore are included. They are all attractive pieces and are sure to be popular at any concerts or end-of-semester events. They are fairly easy to play too and the flexible instrumentation allows any players to take a solo with the melody part. They can be played by string quartet, string orchestra or ideally string ensemble plus any other C-pitch instruments that happen to be available. This publication consists of a score showing the four-part ensemble, keyboard and percussion parts. There are separate parts for violin 1, violin 2, viola (violin 3), cello/bass, percussion and keyboard. Additional instruments are not essential but they add contrasting tone colour. The keyboard part is intended as a guide and when possible the keyboard player should improvise around the part and chords shown. A piano sounds distinctly out of place in this music and a digital or acoustic harpsichord sounds more authentic. Most electronic keyboards have a harpsichord option.Every instrumental part (except percussion) also shows the melody line. This allows anyone to take a solo and play the melody, while the other players remain tacet. Solos can be decided in advance and the parts marked accordingly. Just cross out what you don’t need! The percussion instruments used are similar to those found in elementary school music rooms and usually include a small bass drum or hand-held drum, finger cymbals, clave or small headless tambourine. Two players are usually required and the parts can be interpreted quite freely. Dance music is intended to be fun, and we hope that this arrangement brings you just that.

In the classical repertorire, harmonics are not so present as other orchestral colors. There fore, it is particularly difficult to find repertory to train them.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742492 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Standards,World. Score and parts. 57 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #5041947. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742492). Around the year 1726, John Walsh, a London music publisher, created a wonderful forgery in order to run around the copyright laws of the day: he pretended to pirate an edition supposedly published by the House of Roger in Amsterdam. This forgery included 12 Sonatas for solo instrument and continuo which had been composed by one George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). Around 1793 the House of Arnold published the same set, omitting two of the original 12 and replacing them with two others by Handel. So at this point there were a total of 14 solo sonatas available to the public. In the year 1879 Friedrich Chrysander issued these 14 works and several others in volume 27 of the German Handel Society’s Gesamtausgabe of Handel’s works. Since then they have been edited from this scholarly work many times, and afflicted by all sorts of permutations which reflect the various styles of performance in vogue over the years. One finds editions stripped of ornamentation but loaded with articulation and dynamic markings at one end of the spectrum, and editions with modest stenographic and florid ornamentation at the other. The Sonata in C Minor (London: 1712) is a pure example of the middle phase of the solo sonata da chiesa [church sonata]. The first three movements are indicative of the style found in sonatas derived from the disruptive canzona of the early 17th century. An initial slow movement with walking bass is followed by an imitative movement (in this case, a fugue with a chromatic subject), which in turn leads to an Adagio. This latter movement in the relative major is a ricercare containing several imitative entrances. The finale is a spirited binary-form BourrĆ©e angloise, an item taken over from the French ordre or dance suite. The extraordinarily short length of this movement seems to indicate that a trio is missing here; therefore, I have added the bourrĆ©e from the Royal Fireworks Music of 1749 to act as a trio, but players are certainly free to omit it. Adding a series of variations based on the chord changes of the BourrĆ©e angloise would be an alternative way to lend weight to this final movement.Taken from https://www.idrs.org/scores/Lehrer/DRArch/69HandelSonataCm.html

String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742474 Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Easter,Standards,World. Score and parts. 50 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4601825. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742474). Antonio Lucio Vivaldi  4 March 1678 – 28 July 1741) was an Italian Baroque musical composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher, and priest. Born in Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic, he is regarded as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread across Europe. He composed many instrumental concertos, for the violin and a variety of other instruments, as well as sacred choral works and more than forty operas. His best-known work is a series of violin concertos known as the Four Seasons. Many of his compositions were written for the all-female music ensemble of the Ospedale della PietĆ , a home for abandoned children. Vivaldi had worked there as a Catholic priest for 1 1/2 years and was employed there from 1703 to 1715 and from 1723 to 1740. Vivaldi also had some success with expensive stagings of his operas in Venice, Mantua and Vienna. After meeting the Emperor Charles VI, Vivaldi moved to Vienna, hoping for royal support. However, the Emperor died soon after Vivaldi's arrival, and Vivaldi himself died, in poverty, less than a year later. Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Vivaldi

String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1436705 By Pick 'n' Mix Strings. By Traditional. Arranged by Sarah McLellan. Folk,Multicultural,Traditional,World. 113 pages. Sarah McLellan #1016845. Published by Sarah McLellan (A0.1436705). We're sure that this new arrangement of the famous New Zealand Sea Shanty will be enjoyed by string players of all levels. As with all Pick n' Mix arrangements, there are multiple part options to suit all playing levels- whether advanced players, complete beginners and all those in-between. The melodic interest of the Verses is passed between instrument sections and develops musically throughout the arrangement, whilst the catchy, repeated Chorus section provides a great hook for everyone to join together throughout the piece. The concept of all Pick 'n' Mix Strings arrangements is that you just choose the parts which are most suited to your players. We are absolutely NOT suggesting that you try to cover every single possible part! If you don't have any players on the more advanced parts, this doesn't matter at all. Alternatively, experienced ensembles might want all players on advanced parts. You may well use a mixture of some advanced parts and other simpler parts- or you could even have a very early beginner ensemble just using the parts for open strings and first fingers, with a teacher playing the main tune on piano for instance. In addition to the regular score and parts, there are also optional versions of each part with the: STRING FINGERING written in; LETTER NAMES written in; an EXTENSION SCORE; a REDUCED SCORE; an optional PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT and an optional PIANO REDUCTION. There are tried and tested suggested BOWINGS included in all string parts. However, should any music directors wish to use alternative bowings to those printed, we can happily provide versions of the score and parts without bowing on request. There are also Play Along videos available on YouTube @PicknMixStrings for all the Open String parts, in case these are helpful for practising along with!

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1202559 Composed by W. A. Mozart (1756 – 1791). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Contest,Festival,Standards. Score and parts. 125 pages. Jmsgu3 #800938. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1202559). Sonata No. 6, ā€œDurnitzā€ for String OrchestraScore and performance parts: Ā Score: 66 pages. Duration: ca. 29:28Ā Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, also known as the Durnitz Sonata, is a solo piano piece composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775. It is one of Mozart's more complex and ambitious sonatas and is generally regarded as one of his greatest works for the instrument. The sonata is divided into three movements:1. Ā  Ā Allegro - The first movement is a fast-paced and energetic sonata-allegro form, characterized by its lively theme and virtuosic passages. The movement begins with a bold and dramatic opening statement, followed by a series of contrasting themes and variations. The development section explores new harmonic and rhythmic territory, while the recapitulation brings the movement full circle with a restatement of the main themes.2. Ā  Ā Rondeau en Polonaise - The second movement is a graceful and elegant rondo in the style of a polonaise, a popular dance of the time. The main theme is a lilting melody that is first presented by the right hand and then repeated with variations throughout the movement. The middle section features a contrasting theme in a minor key, which is then developed and expanded upon in the latter half of the movement.3. Ā  Ā Theme and Variations - The final movement is a set of six variations on a theme, which is introduced at the beginning of the movement. Each variation explores a different aspect of the theme, from playful embellishments to dramatic flourishes. The final variation brings the piece to a rousing and triumphant close.Overall, Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, is a masterful example of the composer's virtuosity and innovation and remains a beloved and influential work in the piano repertoire.Ā Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284 is also known as the Dürnitz Sonata because it is believed to have been composed for Count Johann Joseph Anton von Dürnitz, an accomplished amateur flautist who was a patron of Mozart.Mozart was in Munich in 1775, and he met Dürnitz there. According to Mozart's letters to his father, Dürnitz played the flute very well, and Mozart was impressed by his abilities. It is believed that Mozart composed this sonata specifically for Dürnitz, who may have performed it with Mozart accompanying him on the piano. No concrete evidence supports the theory that the sonata was named after Dürnitz, but it is widely accepted as the most likely explanation for the nickname. In any case, the sonata remains one of Mozart's most popular and beloved works for solo piano.

String Orchestra - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.527308 Composed by Michelle Taylor-Cohen. Children,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 36 pages. Saturn Strings #5042473. Published by Saturn Strings (A0.527308). This little suite for beginner string orchestra aims to put into practice as many of the different technical aspects of the ABRSM Grade 1 exam as possible, whilst remaining a fun piece to play!  The cheerful first movement is in D major. There is some use of open string double stops and a chance for the 2nd violins to show off their left hand pizzicato, whilst the legato cello melody in the middle section explores the 1234 chromatic finger pattern. The short second movement, which is really no more than a brief interlude, is in A major, and provides the opportunity to focus on controlling slurs and legato bowing. 4th fingers instead of open Es in the 1st violins are desirable but not compulsory! Finally, the third Latin-inspired movement is a syncopation-filled exploration of the E minor natural scale. If you have some percussion instruments at hand please feel free to get creative and add them in wherever you like! The piece can be played without double basses, but if there are none it might be an idea for one desk of cellos to cover the bass part in the first movement middle section. 3rd violins are only necessary if there are no violas, or if violas need an extra boost!
