This favorite contemporary hymn by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend is arranged as an instrumental duet (for Cello Solo with Piano Accompaniment). The beautiful, lyrical style of this instrumental piece creates a powerfully uplifting atmosphere and is an ideal selection for any church setting.

For the first verse, the CELLO plays the melody. The PIANO plays the melody for the second verse and then concludes with the CELLO on the melody for the third verse. The PIANO has both right-hand and left-hand playing melody during the interludes. 

Three unique verses are included and if four verses are desired to match the lyrics, an optional repeat is included for the last verse. The first two verses are softer and more lyrical than the third verse.  For the third and optional fourth verse, the PIANO transitions to a bolder, more powerful feel matching the intensity of the lyrics: Then bursting forth in glorious day, Up from the grave He rose again! The audio sample begins in measure 5.

The range for the CELLO is C3 to D4. All notes for the CELLO are playable in the first position making this piece an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players.

Here is a festive duet arrangement (for CELLO solo with PIANO accompaniment) of the popular English carol We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The CELLO leads with the melody for most of the song except for 4 measures during the second time through the chorus where the PIANO takes the lead with the melody. This arrangement begins with the PIANO playing mellow broken chords, then for the second verse, the PIANO adds a bit of syncopation creating a fuller, upbeat sound for the remainder of the piece.
