The beautiful melody works very well for solo instrument with piano and requires good phrase control. The rhythms are particularly tricky in this piece, regularly moving from triplets to duplets and back again. Despite this, however, it should always flow smoothly and be played with feeling.I have provided two different cello parts here, one which uses the low register and one which is an octave higher.
