Early Intermediate level arrangement transposed to F major to keep RH on the treble clef staff.  Syncopation has been simplified; once notes are learned, encourage player to use their ear to fix rhythms to match the artis's recording.  RH melody off-beat entrances are preceeded by LH playing on the preceding beat to help player feel the rhythmic pulse

RH moves quite a bit, requiring comfort with (1) reaching the thumb down a 3rd from 2 finger, (2) crossing thumb under 2 finger on black note, and (3) crossing 2 finger over thumb.  

LH spends much of the piece in Gm but does have movement, requiring (1) ability to cross the 2 finger over thumb, (2) turning thumb under 2 finger, and (3) making an octave leap.

The iconic Italian songs have served as the foundation for countless singers for over a hundred years.  My settings are an accessible alternative and will provide teachers with new tools for their students’ technical and musical advancement.  They offer a welcome change both melodically and harmonically and many have a limited range with a comfortable tessitura. Most of the songs are brief, lasting around two minutes.  Another attractive feature is the inclusion of a literal English translation directly above the Italian.  I believe these songs will be successful for auditions and in recital settings, both informal and formal.  My hope is that over time, these 24 Italian Songs and Arias for 21st Century Singers will take their place beside the originals for the establishment of a solid vocal technique.

Here’s how to play the famous Christmas carol “We Three Kings†(also known as We Three Kings of Orient Are or The Quest of the Magi) on piano.


With these easy, beautiful, accurate piano sheets, you can play “We Three Kings†on piano - you can use this version to play the song by yourself on piano, accompany singers, or sing along yourself!


“We Three Kings of Orient Are†is a traditional Christmas carol. Words and music were written by the American clergyman John Henry Hopkins Jr. for a Christmas pageant in 1857.
