Large Print Easy Piano Solo of Kate Bush's iconic Running Up That Hill from the 4th season of Netflix Stranger Things.

This arrangement is created for ease of reading large print notes (modified stave notation). The notes, staff, and all elements are proportionately enlarged to 2 or 2.5 times the size of regular sheet music. This size is what the majority of our low-vision musicians have requested. You will find that some pages have 2 measures on a line, some have 3 or 4. This variation depends on the number of notes in each measure, as well as the difficulty of each individual passage. For example, if a measure has only a few notes, or a tie, that measure will be less spacious than a measure with many notes or challenging fingerings or other passages that would be made easier by roomier note spacing. The goal of our large print sheet music is to make the music easier to read, easier to see, and easier to play for the majority of musicians. There are many reasons why musicians look for large print music. They may be a low-vision musician, or they may have good vision, but be performing in a low light environment. Sometimes, music teachers select our large print music arrangements for students who are new to reading music. The wide staff line spacing and larger notes make it easier to navigate through a piece when a student is new to reading notes on lines and spaces.

We always encourage input and ideas, and we welcome requests for custom arrangements. We can create large print music that is larger or smaller than what we have published here. Each note, each line, each measure is individually adapted to large print. This is done manually, by a real person who actually plays each piece to be sure it has improved readability. I like these versions because you can choose between playing the main melody, playing the chords, or trying both simultaneously. If you can eventually playing both simultanously, it can quickly become sophisticated sounding!

This version is also nice in that if you strum the more detail-oriented guitar chords, you end up usually playing the melody anyways, which makes this more ideal for strumming with a pick and for practicing vocals.

Tips:
1. The F# diminshed chord in measure 18 was originally a D7 chord. This seems like a good substitute to make because they contain roughly the same notes but the diminished chord is more original sounding and has better part writing. There is something about D7 chord that I am always swapping out of them when the melody is low. Same concept for the D/F# chord in measure 11. Instead of a famous D chord, the D/F# accents the main melody better, and is more unique sounding.
2. It's easy to make mistakes with ties, especially because they also look like slurs. Ties add the to rhythm values together and you don't play the second note, so I normally cross them out with a pencil as they are really only showing sustain.
