He wrote of this song: 'It was a challenge to explore the vision of Christ as the servant who would wash the disciples' feet but who was also the creator of the universe'. Thus. although mainly associated with Lent, this poignant song is more universal in application, and we have aimed to present its vision in a variety of textures and moods.Â
