This is a short, big note/beginner arrangement of Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da intended for students who are just learning to read music and are currently studying Primer Level piano, though it may also be a fun, easy song for students who are just starting Level 1.

All Maria Colletti’s arrangements are carefully edited to be accessible for young students who have been playing piano for approximately six months to two years.

Unnecessary and confusing notations have been omitted for the benefit of very young students. Some finger number suggestions are given, but plenty of space is left in the music for students to figure out the notes on their own.

Although When I’m Sixty-Four was first released on the Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) this song was written ten years earlier by the 14-year old Paul McCartney, and presents a quirky view of young love presented in a nostalgic vaudeville style. In this easy-to play arrangement, the left hand is mainly light and staccato with the melody singing out smoothly above.

Here is a very easy arrangement of the Beatles' hit song, written for my young piano students. Their parents (and grandparents) are always very happy when they play anything by The Beatles. Sometimes it even inspires them to brush up on their dormant piano skills so they can play it too! The melody is mostly in the right hand with left hand playing simple chords, but the last section has the melody in the left hand for a few measures for the sake of variety.
