Here's a fun, 33 page collection of eight short piano pieces for teachers who want to give their students early intermediate music.

Each piece includes different Classical forms such as Waltz, Scherzo, and Fugue while enticing students with their favorite desserts.

The sheet music is clearly and carefully notated with dynamic marks, phrases, suggested fingerings, metronome markings, and appropriate musical terms for playing.

These selections make wonderful recital pieces and are fun for students as they learn different piano techniques.

I wish to thank Dr. Kevin Costley for his advice and encouragement while I created this piano collection.

The music from the album CHINA LOVE was originally composed in Singapore in 1987 - 1988.

A few years later after the release of the CD and the original piano score by Warner Brothers Publications, the composer compiled an easy piano arrangement for beginning students, teachers, and pianists who wanted less challenging sheet music.

Each of the ten pieces feature different and beautiful characteristic melodies and harmonies inspired by the composer during his many travels to the Far East.

Included in this Early Intermediate Piano collection are clearly and carefully notated pages with dynamic marks, phrasing, suggested fingerings, and appropriate musical terms for playing.

These selections make wonderful recital pieces for young students and adults.

CITY OF STARS from the Movie LA LA LAND  

Intermediate Piano Arrangement By Robert Van Horne

It was February 13, 2017 when I first watched the movie LA LA LAND in the theater. After hearing the song City Of Stars for the first time, I immediately loved the melody with its rhythmic and swinging charm. It is one of my favorite pieces to perform on the piano.

This intermediate piano solo arrangement is written in the key of A minor; not the original key, but one that may be easier for some piano students. It is clearly and carefully notated with dynamic marks, phrasing, suggested fingerings, pedal indications, chord identifications and appropriate musical terms. Eighth notes are to be played in a lilting or swing style throughout the piece.

This piano arrangement sounds artistic and complete, a wonderful selection, ideal for both recitals and enjoyment.
