M-O-T-H-E-R, A Word That Means The World To Me is from 1915 and was written by Theodore F. Morse  and the words were written by Howard E Johnson. Ms. Bujacich created a clean, easy to read version with Alpha Notes in the key of F. It also has the words included. Fun for the family to sing-a-long!  She simplified the rhythm so that there are no eighth notes and kept it in the original key of F but did not use a key signature. If you were ever confused when a musician said something like, add a b5 to that chord, this theory worksheet should help your understanding. Tips:1. Understanding scale degrees also aids greatly in understand how chords work, and more specifically, why chords are named the way they are (such as b9). 2. Understanding scale degrees can also aid in transposing music to different keys.3. Understanding scale degrees can aid in copying another musician's essence rather than stealing their exact notes. Instead of saying I like that A G# G on top of an Am7 chord. That's a very good start, but it is even more amibigous (and therefore all-encompassing) to say, I like that 8 7 b7 on top of a i7 chord. The second way is better for composing because now you understand that sound in every possible context, which in turn adds that composing trick to a fluent part of your musical language.

This Easy Piano arrangement with ALPHA NOTES by Joan Bujacich is in  key of C major and also has lyrics.  Clean, Easy To Read and Satisfying Sound even on the easiest level!  It is modified (simplified) to have no 16th notes, it does use the thematic dotted quarter- eighth note rhythm. The arrangement uses Alpha Notes and only uses mainly single notes for both hands, there is one spot where there are two sets of thirds in the LH and a few open fifths in the LH.  If you are looking for a  more difficult arrangement, take a look at Ms. Bujacich's Intermediate  level arrangement here on SMP.
