This tragic rock ballad by the band Maneskin is arranged for solo viola and piano. It is written in the original key of D minor and switches between 12/8 and 4/4 time for ease of reading rhythms. The piano part is a true accompaniment and does not double the viola part at all throughout the piece. The 4/4 section switches between alto and treble clef in the viola part and requires some shifting to 3rd position. This would make an excellent piece for an electric instrument, especially in the middle section, which has a grunge vibe to it.

This arrangement of the powerful ballad The Loneliest by Maneskin is for solo viola and piano. It is written in the comfortable key of D Major and has an emphasis on bowing and phrasing. The viola shifts between first and third position and alternates between alto and treble clef. From a teaching perspective, this is a great piece to reinforce treble clef reading since those sections are just one octave higher than the alto clef sections. The piano part is a true accompaniment and does not double the viola melody, building in intensity throughout the song.
