Mann was a British organist, choirmaster, teacher, composerand hymnist from the later 19th to early 20th centuries. This is a good piece for New Years Day or New Years Eve. It should be played with a martial feeling. Section A and C are the verse. Section B and D are the refrain. A modulation to a new key occurs at the end of scetion B with the aid of a French augmented sixth chord. Section C then adds a descant by yours truly.

In 1882, Tchaikovsky considered creating a concert suite out of numbers from his marvelous ballet Swan Lake, which he had composed six years previously. However, he seems not to have made a final decision, and the authorship of the concert suite published after his death as Op.20a is unknown.

Lady Madonna is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written primarily by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney. In March 1968 it was released as a mono non-album single, backed with The Inner Light. The song was recorded on 3 and 6 February 1968, before the Beatles left for India, and its boogie-woogie style signalled a more conventional approach to writing and recording for the group following the psychedelic experimentation of the previous two years.
