Ramseyer was a 20th Century American pastor, hymnist, and radio minister. He and his wife broadcasted songs in the 1930' and 1940's. This arrangement is meant to have a marshal feeling to it (maresciallo). A modulation to a new key occurs towards the end of section B with the aid of an Italian augmented sixth chord. A descant by yours truly is then added.
