B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1303422 Composed by Gabriel Faure. Arranged by Harry Walker. 19th Century,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period. Score and part. 8 pages. SCORE EDITIONS #892996. Published by SCORE EDITIONS (A0.1303422). This mélodie is the first in a set of three songs, opus 7, which also comprises Hymne and Barcarolle respectively. All three were composed between 1870 and 1877, then collected and published in 1878 under the title Trois Mélodies. Not originally conceived as a song cycle, these three songs acquired this opus number much later, in the 1890s. The poem for Après un rêve was loosely adapted from an anonymous Italian text by Romain Bussine. It describes, in the form of a dream, the imaginary flight of two lovers who are head over heels in love, although the last verse brings the dreamer inexorably back to harsh reality as dawn is breaking. In this version, the composition was arranged for Trumpet in B-flat and Piano by Harry Walker.

Piano,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587611 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by David McKeown. Classical,Concert,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score and part. 9 pages. David McKeown #4403664. Published by David McKeown (A0.587611). Felix Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was originally written in 1842 as incidental music to Shakespeare’s famousplay, Midsummer Night’s Dream. When Queen Victoria’s daughter used the music for her marriage in 1858, it became instantly popular and has remained a wedding favourite ever since. This version is arranged for Solo Trumpet and Piano and the performance time is around three and a half minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and interchangeable. Repeats may also be ignored. Both the full length youtube performance and the short audio sample are from the Clarinet version off this arrangement. The solo part is intermediate level, while the piano accompaniment suits an advanced intermediate player. Both will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, with both parts enjoying melodic interest.Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with building dynamic range and stamina. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203.

Wawatatia is a slow melody style work for a Cornet Soloist. This work was commissioned by Anthony Smith, for his performances in the Canterbury Slow Melody Contest, and the NZ National Invitational Slow Melody Competition.Wawatatia means “to dream for, to hope for, or to desire something to be†and was written during the Covid-19 pandemic that swept the world. It has been a tough and disruptive few years for everyone and Wawatatia depicts a state of internal reflection on the challenging times that have been - but with an emphasis on not dwelling on the past and looking forward to the future with a desire or hope for a better world. Cleverly embedded through the piece are quotations from Eric Ball’s Resurgam which depict the hope that we all have for the future.
