Published by Austin Ralphson (A0.1176379). Erik Satie invented the word 'Gnossiennes' to indicate a new type of composition. He notated the original piano score without barlines, so I have done the same in this arrangement. The piece is only short at about 2 minutes, but can be repeated in its entirety if desired. This piece can either be played with a live pianist, or can be played along with the free backing track which is available from https://youtu.be/1-DkHFw-jRs and also in the video screen above.Parts are provided in B flat (treble clef), E flat (treble clef) and concert pitch (bass clef). You can also purchase all 5 beautiful solos together in a digital book for $9.99: https://armusiconline.com/b/Au7FV

Piano,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792430 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Ralph Sauer. 20th Century,Romantic Period,World. Score and part. 24 pages. Gordon Cherry #4821655. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792430). Satie’s strange but beautiful pieces were composed in the 1890’s and were notated without barlines or time signatures. They consist of mysterious, hypnotic melodies supported by simple chord structures and are full of cryptic comments such as counsel yourself carefully and be clairvoyant. There are few restrictions on interpretation. Mr. Sauer’s beautiful arrangements of these six short works total about 15 minutes in length and are suitable for advanced performers.
