This trombone with piano accompaniment piece was written as a college assignment. The alternation of the duple meter and triple meter patters in the trombone part contract at times with what the piano accompaniment is playing underneath. There is also a different feel when the trombone part changes to the longer flowing melody in the middle before changing back to the original melody, now in a different key to give it even more of a stark contrast.
