Composed in 2015 for the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast, Baby Blue Roses is the composer's homage to the Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel. This arrangement is for trombone & piano. It is also available in arrangements for clarinet, euphonium, saxophone & viola.

An adaptation for solo trombone with piano accompaniment of a setting of the poem Invitation to Love by Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872 - 1906). Dunbar was born in Dayton, Ohio, and gained fame as a a poet, novelist and playwright. He wrote the lyrics for the musical comedy In Dahomey (1903), the first all-African-American musical produced on Broadway. Duration: ca. 3'15
