Grieg’s Album Leaves, Opus 28 are four exquisite musical miniatures originally composed for Piano between 1864 and 1878. Although almost unknown, they are some of the finest works from the pen of the composer. They are expressive, noble, delicate and subtle, totaling about 12 minutes in length.

Ralph Sauer has done an outstanding job arranging these beautiful character pieces for advanced performers.

Ralph Sauer has brilliantly arranged Four Rags for Trombone and Piano by the great American King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin. They are:

1. The Entertainer, 2. Reflection Rag, 3. Pleasant Moments, and 4. The Cascades

These works are so pleasant to perform and to listen to. They are appropriate for advanced performers and include about 15 minutes of music altogether.

Frank Bridge's Pensiero and Allegro Appassionato was first published in 1908 for Viola and Piano. The two movements are a perfectly balanced pair of pieces, the first being elegiac in mood and the second more outgoing and dramatic. They both show Bridge's mastery of technique for piano and instrumental writing as well as chromatic harmony.

This work is another example of Ralph Sauer's vision of creating arrangements of great music previously unavailable to Trombonists by magically editing the scores so they transform from unaccompanied Piano solos to chamber music for Trombone and Piano.

This work of about 8-minutes in length is appropriate for moderately advanced performers.

The Serenade and Impromptu by Leoncavallo have been artfully arranged for Trombone and Piano by Ralph Sauer. They are both originally written for Cello and Piano.

These two obscure, yet charming and beautiful Neapolitan songs without words together are about 6-minutes in length.

With the use of bass clef and ossia passages, they are playable by even moderately advanced performers.
