The études use a minimalist approach of adding and subtracting notes to create their continuous stream of “musical consciousness�. The composer created these études in the process of writing his de facto saxophone concerto “The Disqualification of Harry Semantix as Trial Juror for East County� (such score also available for saxophone and chamber orchestra, or saxophone and piano).
