Clarinet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587626 Composed by Various. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Concert,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score and part. 24 pages. David McKeown #4594689. Published by David McKeown (A0.587626). The Wedding Album is a collection of four beautiful and timeless wedding favourites, arranged for Solo Clarinet with Piano accompaniment. Whether for that Special Day, for a recital, or for your own entertainment, these arrangements are ideal for players at an intermediate level or higher. The 24-page file includes the piano accompaniments and the separate solo parts at the end. Ave Maria was written by Franz Schubert in 1825 as the sixth song in his song cycle based on Walter Scott’s poem The Lady of the Lake. It is perhaps the best known of all his melodies, adapted for piano by Franz Liszt, and for orchestra many times since. It is often sung with the Latin lyrics of the Catholic hymn of the same name and has been heard everywhere from the Disney movie Fantasia to the funeral of J.F. Kennedy. The Bridal March was written by Richard Wagner in 1850, scored for orchestra and chorus, and opening the third act of his opera, Lohingren. It is best known in the English-speaking world as Here Comes the Bride. Queen Victoria’s daughter used the music for her marriage in 1858, and its popularity has endured ever since. The Prince of Denmark’s March is better known nowadays as the Trumpet Voluntary and is often used in wedding ceremonies. It was in fact written for organ, with the melody played on thetrumpet stop.  Written around 1700, for many years this piece was mistakenly attributed to Henry Purcell. Only recently has it been established that the composer was Jeremiah Clarke, organist at St Paul’s Cathedral. It is somewhat ironic that this composer of a wedding mainstay was himself a victim of unrequited love. He consequently shot himself in the cathedral graveyard. Felix Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was originally written in 1842 as incidental music to Shakespeare’s famousplay, Midsummer Night’s Dream. When Queen Victoria’s daughter used the music for her marriage in 1858, it became instantly popular and has remained a wedding favourite ever since. These four arrangements are also available as single titles for $3.99 each. B-Flat Clarinet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1424650 Composed by David Ellis, John Casken, Julia Usher, and Richard Orton. Arranged by John Turner. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score and part. 44 pages. Forsyth Brothers Ltd #1005815. Published by Forsyth Brothers Ltd (A0.1424650). Forsyth's Modern Wind Music series contains exciting and challenging, but not unduly difficult, works by talented English composers of current or recent vintage for recital, study or recreation. Each volume includes three works with piano, one unaccompanied piece, and one piece for two or more players of the instrument. In this volume for clarinet John Casken's Taerset takes its title from Tarset in Northumberland, inspired by a holiday there, while Julia Usher's Subsequent Darkness is inspired by a game of chess. The solo work is a capricious Arabesque by Richard Orton, who also contributes a quartet for clarinets that plays on diaphragm articulation. David Ellis' Berceuse is an extended lullaby, but not without its troubled dreams. Contents: Berceuse by David Ellis Taerset by John Casken Subsequent Darkness by Julia Usher Arabesque by Richard Orton Sonora by Richard Orton (for four clarinets)

Clarinet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.850760 Composed by Zilphia Horton. Arranged by Spike Maiden Müller. Folk,Instructional,Patriotic,Standards. Score and part. 6 pages. Spike Maiden Mueller #6328089. Published by Spike Maiden Mueller (A0.850760). A gospel song which became a protest song and the signal anthem of the civil rights movement, We Shall Overcome is commonly believed to be lyrically descended from I'll Overcome Some Day, a hymn by Charles Albert Tindley. The modern version was first contributed to the People's Songs Bulletin by Zilphia Horton, who said she had learned it from tobacco workers organizer Lucille Simmons in 1945. It became associated with the civil rights movement in 1959 when Guy Carawan and Pete Seeger began using their version at the Highlander Folk School in Tennessee. Within a year, it had spread across the south, becoming the unofficial anthem of the civil rights movement. This simple solemn version for two clarinets and piano is offered for contemporary use. The first clarinet part is well within reach of second or third year students while the second clarinet stays below the break at all times, making it accessible by good first year players. This arrangement is copyright 2021 by Spike Maiden Müller. Clarinet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.723173 Composed by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Concert,Contemporary. Score and part. 9 pages. Joel Jacklich #6227859. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723173). Commissioned by Mitch Sturman in memory of our mutual friend, composer John B. Edmondson (1933-2016).  Mr. Sturman had commissioned new works for the Wilson Jr. H. S. Warrior Band in El Centro, CA for nine years for annual Concerts of Premieres.  John B. Edmondson, one of America's leading composers of educational music, with over 800 compositions and arrangements in his catalog, had been commissioned by Mitch seven times for new works, including his last ever composition, Imperial County Impressions performed in May, 2016, prior to Mr. Sturman's retirement in June, 2016.  The first commission John had made for Mitch was his Serenade for Solo Clarinet and Band.  Mitch felt it would be a fitting tribute for me to compose a work also for solo clarinet and band.  This was composed for a memorial tribute concert for John B. Edmondson at Wilson Junior High School on April 6, 2017, where the seven pieces commissioned for the Wilson Band would be performed.  The solo clarinet, first clarinet, and first trumpet require moderately experienced players to play the parts musically.  All the rest of the parts are easily handled by a typical junior high school band.  This is the version with piano accompaniment.  (The versions with full band accompaniment and with full orchestral accompaniment are also available on this web site.)
