Published by SheetMusicHub (A0.601853). This is a lead sheet style (melody + chords) notation of Antonin Dvorak's symphony no. 9, pt. II - Largo. The Symphony No. 9 in E minor, From the New World, Op. 95, B. 178 (Czech: Symfonie Ä. 9 e moll Z nového svÄ›ta), popularly known as the New World Symphony, was composed by Antonín Dvořák in 1893 while he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America from 1892 to 1895. It premiered in New York City on 16 December 1893. It has been described as one of the most popular of all symphonies. In older literature and recordings, this symphony was – as for its first publication – numbered as Symphony No. 5. Astronaut Neil Armstrong took a tape recording of the New World Symphony along during the Apollo 11 mission, the first Moon landing, in 1969. The symphony was completed in the building that now houses the Bily Clocks Museum. Sample video performed by Berliner Philharmoniker, (cond. Claudio Abbado).

Small Ensemble C Instrument - Digital Download SKU: A0.601859 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Andre Maaker. Holiday,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 2 pages. SheetMusicHub #6706333. Published by SheetMusicHub (A0.601859). This is a lead sheet style notation (melody, chords, form) of a brilliant masterpiece by Frederic Chopin. From Wikipedia: Chopin composed his best-known Nocturne in Eâ™ major, Op. 9, No. 2 when he was around twenty years old. This well-known nocturne is in rounded binary form (A, A, B, A, B, A) with coda, C. It is 34 measures long and written in 12 8 meter, having a similar structure to a waltz. The A and B sections become increasingly ornamented with each recurrence. The penultimate bar utilizes considerable rhythmic freedom, indicated by the instruction, senza tempo (without tempo). The nocturne opens with a legato melody, mostly played piano (quietly), containing graceful upward leaps which becomes increasingly wide as the line unfolds. This melody is heard again three times during the piece. With each repetition, it is varied by ever more elaborate decorative tones and trills. The nocturne also includes a subordinate melody, which is played with rubato. A sonorous foundation for the melodic line is provided by the widely spaced notes in the accompaniment, connected by the damper pedal. The waltz-like accompaniment gently emphasizes the 12 8 meter, 12 beats to the measure subdivided into four groups of 3 beats each..

It's well-known and loved and is played across the world in pubs, on stage and at Irish music sessions. It is a great jig for beginners and experts alike.History: The title of this jig refers to the fair of the same name that was held in Donnybrook, Dublin. The fair was held from the 13th century up until the 1850’s and is also a slang term for a brawl or riot. In 1204, a license was granted to the corporation of Dublin by King John of England to hold an annual eight-day fair in Donnybrook. In 1252, the duration of the fair was extended to fifteen days. Over the subsequent centuries, the terms of holding the fair continued to change until it was decided in the 18th century that the fair would be held on the 26th of August on Donnybrook Green for a full fortnight. The fair was finally ended in 1855 when ‘The Committee for the Abolition of Donnybrook Fair’ bought the licence to the fair for £3000.ISMN: 979-0-9022638-4-9Published by:Thomas Edward Gray MusicABN: 90 127 523 114E: tomedgray@outlook.comIf you have any comments or feel your copyright has been infringed, please contact us.
