The well known melody Nun Danket is arranged in a contemplative style for flute and piano. The flute writing is straightforward, stating the chorale melody in equal length phrases and mainly in the second octave. The piano accompanies with gentle upward moving eighth-note figures, the overall effect is one of contemplation and a sense of quiet fulfillment. This arrangement would be an ideal prelude or reflective offering in a service of worship.
