Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1235951 Composed by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christian,Easter,Instructional. Score and part. 7 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #831456. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.1235951). Colin Kirkpatrick’s Sanctus for flute and piano is a lyrical, elegiac melody that reflects the spirit of a bygone age. The musical language is tonal but slightly chromatic and has proved a popular item at recitals where it’s been played. The piano shares some of the melodic material with the flute and the music evokes peace and tranquility; there’s a brief yet passionate passage near the middle of the piece before the music returns to the quite place where it began. It’s estimated that the standard is about ABRSM Grade 4 to 5. This work would make an excellent addition to a flute recital. The score (piano and flute) and the solo flute part are presented in a single PDF file. (Duration: 03:07).
