Piano,Soprano Flute - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1349176

Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Joan Bujacich. Classical,Early Music,Wedding. Score and part. 6 pages. Joan Bujacich #933916. Published by Joan Bujacich (A0.1349176).

Simplified notation, easier to read, clean notation! No 32nd notes. This arrangement for Solo Flute and Piano is of Winter, the Allegro from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Arranger, Joan Bujacich, had many piano students exploring this piece online.  This great composition does not lend itself well to piano for the junior, intermediate levels, so she made two arrangements, one using the original rhythmic notation and just shortening the length and making it more piano oriented in style,  and one doubling the values so that there are no 32nd notes, simplifying the notation.  Since her piano students were finding success with the shortened version and easier notated rhythms, she then took that arrangement and transcribed it for Solo Flute and Piano.

Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by David McKeown. Children,Concert,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 9 pages. David McKeown #4737757. Published by David McKeown (A0.587685).

Swan Lake, is the first ballet of three composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Here, the famous main theme is arranged for Solo Flute and Piano, directly from the orchestral score. The first performance of the ballet in Moscow in 1877 was not well received. The production was fraught with disagreements between choreographer and composer; the Russian audience were suspicious of the story’s Germanic origins and the music was regarded as too complex for ballet. Tchaikovsky did not live to see a triumphant revival production in 1895 that confirmed Swan Lake as one of the greatest ballet scores of all.

Included in the single download are six pages of piano score and a separate two-page part for the solo instrument. The short sample here and the full length version on the youtube link are from the Clarinet version of this arrangement.

Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The melody is expressive and legato; the accompaniment is challenging in parts, with tremolos and rich chords. Both parts require dramatic dynamic contrasts and the solo part explores a wide range of the instrument. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes.

Composed by E Elgar. Arranged by Grant Horsley. Holiday,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score and part. 12 pages. Grant Horsley #5939933. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.785720).

Salut d, Amour-  by E Elgar-Arranged here for Flute and Piano. (oboe and clarinet versions available)
A long time favourite of many people. This beautiful melody has been arranged in the key of D major and does not go too high (to G once only)-most of it on the stave, so many flautists may feel it is suitable for them. It borders early intermediate and intermediate, but largely EI. 3.30mins
Great as a short concert piece, but perfect for weddings.
